Over the past day, December 17, 199 combat engagements took place at the frontline. Russia put the most pressure in the Kursk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 6 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment,” the Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Russians stormed the town of Vovchansk 4 times.
In the Kupiansk sector, 5 combat engagements took place near Petropavlivka and Lozova.
In the Lyman sector, 21 Russian attacks were repelled near Zelenyi Hai, Terny, Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, and in the Serebrianske forest.
In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked 9 times near Hryhorivka, Bilohorivka, Siversk, and Verkhniokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 3 combat engagements took place near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops attacked Toretsk 7 times.
In the Pokrovsk sector, 38 Russian assaults and offensive actions were stopped in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, and beyond.
In the Kurakhove sector, 28 Russian attacks were repelled. Russia attempted to advance 28 times near Dachne, Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Kurakhove, and Yantarne.
In the Vremivka sector, the Russians conducted 27 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopolske, Sukhi Yaly, Storozheve, Novosilky, Temyrivka, Novopil and Novodarivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, 3 Russian attacks were repelled near Novoandriivka, Orikhiv, and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russia attacked 4 times.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 49 Russian attacks.
