Over the last day, December 9, 175 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Most of the attacks were repelled in the Pokrovsk sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Lyman sector, 14 Russian attacks were stopped in the areas of Hrekivka, Zelenyi Hai, Nadiia, Makiivka, Torske, and Yampolivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia tried to advance twice near Chasiv Yar and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Toretsk sector, 8 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, 51 Russian attacks were repelled. The Russians put the most pressure on Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Dachenske, Chumatske, and Shevchenko.
In the Kurakhove sector, 40 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Zoria, Dalne, Dachne, and Kurakhove.
In the Vremivka sector, 27 Russian attacks were stopped in the direction of Kostiantynopil, Novosilka, and near Sukhi Yaly and beyond.
7 Russian attacks were repelled in the Prydniprovskyi sector.
In the Kursk region, Russians conducted 11 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units.
