As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on November 22, 187 combat engagements were reported along the front lines over the past 24 hours, with the heaviest fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Lyman directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff reported that during the day, Russian forces launched two missile strikes, 52 airstrikes involving 56 guided bombs, and 748 kamikaze drone attacks. Additionally, over 3,900 shelling incidents targeted Ukrainian military positions.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attempted three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk but were repelled. The enemy also struck the areas of Lyptsi and Okhrymivka with guided aerial bombs.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops launched six attacks on Ukrainian defenses near Zelenyi Hai, Hlushkivka, and Zahryzove. Two engagements are ongoing at this time.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 18 enemy attacks near Torske, Hrekivka, Terni, Novoiehorivka, and Makiivka. One engagement remains active. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Ivanivka, Dronivka, Kryva Luka, and Bilohorivka.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations but carried out airstrikes using guided bombs in the areas of Zakitne and Siversk.

In the Kramatorsk direction, four attempts by Russian forces to advance near Stupochky and Chasiv Yar ended in failure. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy, with air support, continues to pressure Ukrainian positions, attempting to advance near Toretsk. Ukrainian forces have already repelled seven attacks, with one battle still underway.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders, carrying out a total of 40 assault and offensive operations throughout the day. Russian forces remain most active in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pustynka, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Petrivka, and Pushkine. Four engagements are still ongoing. Airstrikes targeted Sukhа Balka, Valentynivka, and Myrnohrad.

"According to preliminary estimates, our forces have eliminated 130 Russian soldiers and injured another 160 in this direction today. Two tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, eight vehicles, a mortar, and two buggies were destroyed. Additionally, four tanks, one mortar, and an ATV were damaged," the report stated.

The Kurakhove direction remains highly active, with 35 combat engagements recorded so far. Russian forces attempted advances near Berestky, Sontsivka, Dalnie, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Katerynivka, Romanivka, and Antonivka. Thirteen battles are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas of Trudove, Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Sukhi Yaly, and Novodarivka. Five clashes are currently underway. The enemy has been employing air support extensively in this direction.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack towards Kamianske. The enemy also carried out an airstrike with guided bombs on Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, four enemy assaults were unsuccessful. The enemy fired multiple rocket launchers (MRLs) at Kozatske.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops are holding their positions, successfully repelling eight enemy attacks. Overall, the enemy launched 28 attempts to attack Ukrainian units today.

No significant changes have occurred in other directions.

"Today, we honor the Ukrainian soldiers of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade, the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade named after General-Ataman Oleksiy Almazov, the 38th Separate Marine Brigade, the 68th Separate Jäger Brigade Oleksa Dovbush, and the 425th Separate Assault Battalion, who are steadfastly holding back the overwhelming enemy forces on the eastern front," the General Staff concluded.

Between November 21 and 22, the Russian army lost 1,050 soldiers on the front line. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 12 armored combat vehicles and 32 vehicles.
