During the day from November 21 to November 22, the Russian army lost 1,050 soldiers, 8 cruise missiles, and 32 vehicles at the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to November 22, 2024, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 728,300 (+1,050) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 9399 (+1);
  • armored personnel vehicle - 19,156 (+13);
  • artillery systems - 20,736 (+5);
  • MLRS - 1254 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,004 (+1);
  • aircraft - 369;
  • helicopters - 329;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 19,260 (+1);
  • cruise missiles - 2,764 (+8);
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 29,777 (+32);
  • special equipment - 3,675 (+1).

Situation at front and Russian strikes

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Defense Forces advanced in Vuhledar, but the Russians succeeded near Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.

At night, the Russian army once again launched Shahed-type kamikaze drones toward Ukraine.

Later, powerful explosions were heard in Sumy. 2 residents were killed when a Russian drone struck a residential building.
