Shelling of Sumy: Casualties due to Russian attack reported
In Sumy, two people were killed as a result of a Russian airstrike during the night. Emergency services are working at the sites of the enemy strikes, reports the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.
He explained that in Sumy, several powerful explosions were heard on the night of November 22.
At the site of one of the explosions, the body of a deceased person was found.
"Emergency services, ambulances, and police are working at the scene," Kobzar added in a video message.
Later, he shared that at the location of the second explosion in Sumy, another person was also found dead.
"A crisis management headquarters has been set up to address the aftermath of the emergency," he said, adding that more details about the location would be provided later.
Additionally, the acting mayor of Sumy mentioned that due to the ongoing threat of Shahed drone attacks, air defense operations are continuing in the city. He urged local residents to stay away from windows for safety.

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration (SRMA), Russian forces attacked a residential area in the city of Sumy with Shahed drones last night.
"Preliminarily, there are casualties. People are receiving necessary assistance, and emergency rescue operations are ongoing. The consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified," the administration reported.

Later, the Sumy Regional Military Administration clarified that as a result of the Russian army's attack on a residential area in Sumy, 2 people were killed and 10 others sustained injuries of varying severity, according to preliminary data.
"Emergency rescue operations are ongoing," the administration added.

Later, the regional military administration reported that the number of deaths in Sumy from the Shahed drone attack remains the same - 2 people - but the number of injured has risen to 12.
