Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 6
As of the evening of November 6, there have been 145 combat engagements on the frontlines. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Kurakhove direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the Russian army carried out one missile strike (with 3 missiles), 35 airstrikes (including the use of 90 guided bombs), and 513 kamikaze drone attacks, as well as 3,125 shelling incidents targeting Ukrainian military positions.
Frontline situation
Near Starytsia and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched six assaults on Ukrainian positions.
Estimated enemy losses in the area amounted to 69 Russian soldiers killed and wounded, with one artillery system, 28 drones, three vehicles, and one piece of special equipment destroyed. Additionally, one artillery system and four vehicles were damaged.
The enemy also attacked our fortifications eight times in the Kupiansk direction, near Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, and Kruhlyakivka. At present, one engagement is ongoing.
Ukrainian defense positions in the areas of Druzhlyubivka, Hrekivka, Torske, and Terni were assaulted ten times by Russian forces in the past day in the Lyman direction. Five enemy attacks are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, our troops stopped three attempts by the enemy to improve their tactical position near Bilohorivka, with one attack continuing.
Near Chasiv Yar and Klishchiivka, two enemy attempts to advance in the Kramatorsk direction were unsuccessful.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched four assaults today in the areas of Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Shcherbynivka. The enemy achieved no success. Fighting continues in Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army carried out 38 assault and offensive actions throughout the day. Russian forces' highest activity level remains in the areas of Promin, Lysivka, and Selydove. Twelve combat engagements in the area are still ongoing.
The enemy is intensively attacking our units in the Kurakhove direction. As of this time of day, there have been 52 attacks. The Russian army attempted to advance in the areas of Illinka, Kreminna Balka, Novoselydivka, Novodymytrivka, Maksymilyanivka, Antonivka, and Katerynivka, with fighting currently taking place in 28 locations.
Two combat engagements continue near Trudove in the Vremivka direction. Throughout the day, the aggressor has launched six assaults on the forward edge of our defense near Trudove and Maksymivka.
The enemy's attempt to advance towards Novohryhorivka in the Orikhiv direction failed.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, three enemy attacks were repelled, with no success for the enemy.
"The operation by the Ukrainian Defense Forces continues in the Kursk region. Today, Ukrainian defenders have repelled seven attempts by the Russian army to push our units from their positions," the General Staff added.
Frontline situation and Russia's losses
According to preliminary data from the General Staff, the most difficult situation remains in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, where Russian forces are conducting the highest number of attacks.
Over the past 24 hours, Russia's losses on the front in Ukraine amounted to 1,250 soldiers.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed 6 tanks, 11 armored fighting vehicles, 20 artillery systems, 57 unmanned aerial vehicles, 55 vehicles, and one piece of special equipment of the Russian army.
