Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 19

As of 16:00 on October 19, 71 combat engagements were registered in the frontline since the beginning of the day. The enemy's activity is especially noticeable in the Kurakhove, Kupiansk, and Pokrovsk sectors, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Senkivka, Chernihiv region, suffered from terrorist attacks by enemy artillery, and the enemy dropped four air bombs on Shostka, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded. The enemy also launched 24 air strikes on the territory of the Kursk region, using 34 guided bombs.
Situation at the frontlines
The General Staff said that the enemy is using all available forces and means to achieve its goals. However, Ukrainian defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines, and destroying Russian plans.
In particular, today in the Kharkiv sector, Russians stormed the defensive lines of the Ukrainian army six times near Starytsia and Vovchansk. At present, combat engagements are ongoing in four locations.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy actively attacked the positions of our troops nine times in the areas of Kucherivka, Kolisnykivka, Kruhliakivka, and Lozova, five of the engagements are ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold steadfastly the defense.
Today, in the Lyman sector, the invading army made five attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Terny, and Serebryanka. The fighting continues.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders stormed the positions of our troops near Andriivka and Stupochky. The enemy's attacks were repelled.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked in the direction of Oleksandro-Shultyne, dropping guided aerial bombs on Toretsk and Katerynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has made eight attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, and Selydove. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have repelled five enemy attacks so far, and three attacks are still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
Fighting continues near Zoryane, Novodmytrivka, Zhelanne Druhe, Hirnyk, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka and Katerynivka in the Kurakhove sector. According to the updated information, seven out of 21 attacks of the occupation army have been repelled in the area so far. Fierce fighting continues.
In the Vremivka sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, twice stormed the positions of our units near Novoukrainka and Bohoyavlenka. Two firefights took place. Enemy aircraft attacked Bohoyavlenka with a guided aerial bomb.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two attempts to attack our positions near Mala Tokmachka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions, having already conducted five attacks today, and one firefight is currently ongoing.
Over the last day, from October 18 to 19, Russians lost 1380 soldiers at the front. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia's losses in manpower amount to 677,180 people.
