Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 15

On October 14, 198 battles occurred on the frontline. Half of these engagements were recorded in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"During the past day, the Air Force, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces carried out four strikes on enemy troop concentrations, hitting three command posts and one engineering structure of the occupiers," the General Staff reports.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, two enemy attacks were repelled near Tykhe.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russians launched 26 attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruhliakivka, Kolisnykivka, Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Pershotravneve, Lozova, and Vyshneve.
In the Lyman direction, 37 enemy attacks were repelled. The main efforts of the enemy were concentrated near Nevske, where eight more attacks were conducted.
In the Siversk direction, Russian forces attacked three times near Verkhniokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attempted four times to break through Ukrainian defenses in Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Diliivka.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked three times near Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, 40 assaults were repelled in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Selydove, Hrodivka, Novotroitske, and Novopavlivka.
In the Kurakhove direction, the Russians attempted 50 assaults on Ukrainian defenses, acting most intensively near Heorhiivka, Novodmytrivka, and Antonivka.
In the Vremivka direction, three enemy attacks were repelled near Bohoyavlenka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russians attacked twice near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted eight attacks.
Russian losses in the war
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost 671,400 personnel. Over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated an additional 1,210 occupiers and destroyed:
- 13 tanks;
- 44 armored combat vehicles;
- 9 artillery systems, among other equipment.
