Since the beginning of the day on October 14, 107 combat engagements have taken place in the frontline. The enemy is attacking most actively in the Kurakhove direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

According to the General Staff, today, communities such as Basivka and Myropillya in the Sumy region suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Additionally, Russian forces launched airstrikes using guided aerial bombs on the areas surrounding the settlements of Revyakine, Budivelne, and Sosnivka, dropping ten guided bombs.

Situation on the frontlines

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy dropped two guided bombs on the village of Harbuzy.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian defense forces 16 times in the areas of Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova, and Vyshneve. Fourteen clashes are ongoing. Enemy aviation struck Novoosynove and Kivsharivka with eight guided bombs.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army launched 21 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, Terny, Yampolivka, Torske, and Zarichne throughout the day. Eleven battles are over, while ten are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line and inflicting losses on the enemy.

The Russian forces continue to seek opportunities to breach Ukrainian defenses near Verkhniokamianske in the Siversk direction. Two clashes ended without success for the enemy.

In the Kramatorsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Defense Forces units have repelled one attack from Russian troops near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, while two more enemy assaults are ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, three assault operations continue in the area of Shcherbynivka. The enemy is employing aviation, having struck Toretsk with a guided bomb.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted 18 times to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Selydove, Vozdvizhenka, Novotoretske, and Novohrodivka. Defense Forces are holding back the pressure and have repelled 12 enemy attacks, with six clashes still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy army attacked 29 times in the areas of Izmailivka, Hirnyk, Zoriane, Kurakhivka, Tsukuryne, Novodmytrivka, Novoselydivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, and Vodiane. Eighteen attempts by the Russian army to advance have already been repelled. Additionally, the enemy dropped an aerial bomb on Illinka.

In the Vremivka and Huliaipole directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations but struck Novodarivka with around 60 unguided air-to-surface missiles.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops assaulted the positions of Defense Forces twice near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy was defeated after attacking Ukrainian defensive lines twice.

In other directions, there have been no significant changes.

"Operations continue in the Kursk region. Enemy aviation continues to level its villages and cities. Since the beginning of the day, Russian aircraft have conducted six strikes with nine guided bombs on their own territory," added the General Staff.

Frontline situation and Russian losses

According to the General Staff, on October 13, there were 161 combat clashes along the frontline. The highest number of battles was recorded in the Kurakhove direction.

During the past day, October 13, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,260 Russian soldiers. Consequently, total enemy losses in personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have exceeded 670,000 soldiers.

Ukrainian fighters also destroyed 4 tanks, 19 armored combat vehicles, 11 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment yesterday.
