Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 4
Over the past day, on October 3, 142 battles took place on the front lines, with the most intense fighting recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Over the past day, the Defense Forces' missile troops and artillery struck 15 concentrations of enemy personnel and military equipment, hitting two fuel and lubricant depots, an artillery system, an air defense system, and an electronic warfare station," the General Staff said.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attacked four times in the areas of Starytsia and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched 11 attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Kurylivka, Pishchane, Vyshneve, Petropavlivka, and Pershotravneve.
In the Lyman direction, 13 enemy attacks were repelled. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of Makiivka, Novosadove, Torske, Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, and Dronivka.
In the Siversk direction, an attack near Spirne was repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attempted to advance six times near Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, Bila Hora, and Stupochky.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces launched 30 attacks, focusing their efforts in the areas of Mykolayivka and Selydove, where there were nine and seven clashes, respectively.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defenses 23 times in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Tsukuryne, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Trudove, Vozdvyzhenka, Antonivka, and Katerynivka.
In the Vremivka direction, three attacks were stopped near Bohoyavlenka and one near Maksymivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces tried twice to advance in the areas of Kamianske and Novodanylivka.
Russian losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian Federation has lost over 657,000 personnel. Over the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated another 1,230 terrorists and destroyed:
- 15 tanks;
- 31 armored combat vehicles;
- 59 artillery systems.
