Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 4: +1,230 troops, 59 artillery systems, and 101 drones

Over the last day, from October 3, Russia lost 1,230 soldiers, 31 armored combat vehicles, and more than 100 drones at the front, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to October 4, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 657,940 (+1230) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 8908 (+15);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 17,627 (+31);
- artillery systems - 18,965 (+59);
- MLRS - 1212 (+8);
- anti-aircraft systems - 965 (+1);
- aircraft - 368;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 16,494 (+101);
- cruise missiles - 2613;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 25,820 (+70);
- special equipment - 3333 (+3).
Situation at frontline
According to ISW, the Russian army has advanced in two districts of the Donetsk region.
Russian troops cannot launch a large-scale offensive along the front line, but can tactically seize territory in certain areas.
Over the past day, October 3, more than 150 combat engagements occurred at the front, with Russian troops actively attacking in three directions.
