Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 1

In the past 24 hours, on September 30, 189 battles were recorded along the front line. Russian army employed aviation in several directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Over the past 24 hours, the rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck one air defense system, a gun at a firing position, a personnel concentration area, a radar station, and another critical object of the Russian invaders," writes the General Staff.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, Russians attacked 16 times in the areas of Burguvatka, Starytsia, Tykhe, and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, 24 enemy attacks were repelled near Synkivka, Novosynovo, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, Andriivka, Kruhliakivka, and Vyshneve.
In the Lyman direction, Russians launched 24 attacks towards Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Dibrova, Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and in the Serebrianske forestry, with one ongoing engagement.
In the Siversk direction, three enemy attacks were repelled near Verkhniokamianske and Bilohorivka. The enemy aviation struck the Serebrianske forestry with over 60 unguided aviation rockets.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked three times near Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, 18 attacks were repelled near Toretsk, Zalizne, Nelipivka, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the situation remains tense. The Defense Forces repelled 43 Russian assault and offensive attacks toward Novotoretske, Novohrodivka, Lysivka, Myroliubivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Sukha Balka, Mykolayivka, Selydove, and Mykhailivka. More than 20 attacks were repelled near Selydove.
In the Kurakhove direction, 31 attacks were recorded near Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Tsukuryne, and Katerynivka. The occupiers were most active in trying to advance near Kurakhove and Heorhiivka.
In the Vremivka direction, Russians attacked eight times near Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, and Zolota Nyva, actively using aviation.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers attacked near Mala Tokmachka and were met with a strong response.
Russia’s losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 654,000 personnel. In the past 24 hours alone, the Defense Forces eliminated 1,370 Russian terrorists. Additionally, they destroyed:
- 9 tanks;
- 44 troop-carrying AFVs;
- 33 artillery systems.
