Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 1: +1,370 soldiers and record number of UAVs

Over the past 24 hours, on September 30, Russian forces reportedly lost 1,370 soldiers, 33 artillery systems, and 44 armored combat vehicles on the front lines, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 1, 2024, are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: approximately 654,430 (+1,370) troops eliminated.
- Tanks: 8,883 (+9) units.
- Troop-carrying AFVs: 17,547 (+44) units.
- Artillery systems: 18,855 (+33) units.
- MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,204 units.
- Anti-aircraft systems: 963 units.
- Aircraft: 369 units.
- Helicopters: 328 units.
- UAVs operational-tactical level: 16,322 (+98) units.
- Cruise missiles: 2,613 (+3) units.
- Warships/boats: 28 units.
- Submarines: 1 unit.
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 25,621 (+73) units.
- Special equipment: 3,314 (+1) units.
Frontline situation and shelling
According to ISW (Institute for the Study of War), Russian forces are applying pressure on Ukrainian positions in two directions in the Donetsk region.
On the night of October 1, terrorists again attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones.
Explosions were heard in the Kyiv region due to air defense forces in action.
