Since the beginning of the day on September 25, there have been 159 clashes on the front lines. Russia continues its attempts to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in the Donetsk region, particularly in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy shelling

Russian troops launched two missile strikes using four missiles, 59 airstrikes involving 86 guided bombs, more than 600 kamikaze drone attacks, and approximately 3,500 shellings of Ukrainian forces' positions and populated areas using various types of weapons.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, three clashes with Russian troops took place. All attacks near Vovchansk and Tykhe were repelled by Ukrainian troops.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russians attempted nine times to dislodge Ukrainian units from positions near Synkivka, Lozova, and Kruhliakivka. Two of these attacks are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 21 times. Russians tried to advance towards Hrekivka, Novosadove, Bilohorivka, Zarichne, and Yampil. Eleven attacks were successfully repelled, while ten clashes continued, with the situation remaining tense.

In the Kramatorsk direction, seven clashes occurred. Russian activity was observed near Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, and Klishchiivka, but all attempts to improve their positions were thwarted by Ukrainian forces, with a clash still ongoing near Hryhorivka.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces tried to breach Ukrainian defense nine times. Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have been met with strong resistance in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka, and two attacks are still underway.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are acting most intensively across the entire front. Throughout the day, Russians launched 53 assault and offensive actions. The highest concentration of Russian forces was noted near Novotoretsk, Lysivka, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, and Kostiantynivka. In total, 47 attacks in this direction have already been repelled, and six clashes are ongoing. The situation remains difficult but under control by Ukrainian forces. They are making efforts to prevent Russians from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.

According to available information, Russian losses in this direction today amount to 345 personnel killed and wounded. Two tanks, three artillery systems, 14 vehicles, six armored vehicles, four motorcycles, and three buggies were destroyed. Additionally, seven armored vehicles, two enemy guns, and ten vehicles were damaged.

In the Kurakhove direction, 23 clashes have taken place so far today. Russian troops remain highly active, attempting to advance near Tsukuryne, Hirnyk, and Heorhiivka. Ukrainian forces have repelled 16 attacks, with seven battles still ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, eight clashes were reported. Seven Russian assaults were stopped near Vuhledar and Vodiane, with one more battle continuing. The situation remains under control by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Orikhiv direction, four unsuccessful Russian attacks were repelled by Ukrainian forces during the day, with another clash ongoing near Robotyne.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks by Russian troops on Ukrainian military positions.

In Russia’s Kursk region, Russian aviation continues to launch strikes with guided bombs on Russian territory. So far, 15 airstrikes involving 26 guided bombs have been reported in the Kursk region.

In other directions, there have been no significant changes.

Enemy shelling of Ukraine

Ukraine proposes to the Nordic countries to implement the Northern Brigade project, offering to train one battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from each country.

Meanwhile, Russian forces have begun equipping their Shahed drones with Starlink satellite communication, enabling them to use the drones for reconnaissance.

On the evening of Wednesday, September 25, Russian forces struck Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. The attack resulted in casualties and a large number of injuries.
