Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 20

On September 19, 226 combat engagements took place on the frontline over the last day. Most of them were in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 26 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel and weapons, as well as hit 2 Russian control points, missile forces, and artillery facilities, 2 air defense facilities, and 3 drone control points,” the Ukraine's General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, 3 combat engagements took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Tykhe.
In the Kupiansk sector, 13 battles took place. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian assaults near Sinkivka, Stelmakhivka, and Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russians attacked 28 times near Makiivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske and Torske.
In the Siversk sector, 8 Russian attacks were repelled near Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Dariivka, and Vyimka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russians attacked 3 times in the areas of Kurdiumivka and Ivanivske.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia attacked 14 times near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, 41 Russian attacks were repelled in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novotoretsk, Hrodivka, Myroliubivka, Mykolaivka, Novohrodika and Marynivka. Russia used aviation to engage in combat.
In the Kurakhove sector, 63 Russian attacks were repelled near Tsukuryno, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka.
In the Vremivka sector, the Russians launched six attacks near Vuhledar, Rivne, and Katerynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russia carried out 6 attacks in the areas of Piatykhatky, and Robotyne and in the direction of Novoandriivka and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, there were 3 combat engagements with the Russian troops in the island zone of the Dnipro Delta.
Russia's losses in war against Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost almost 640,000 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,340 Russian troops, 20 tanks, and 39 armored combat vehicles.
