Since the start of September 18, there have been 153 combat engagements along the front lines. More than half of these battles occurred in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions in the Donetsk region, according to an evening report by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Enemy shelling

Russian forces launched a missile strike on Ukrainian territory using a single missile, conducted 59 airstrikes, dropping 79 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they deployed 532 kamikaze drones and carried out nearly 3,300 shelling attacks on our forces' positions and civilian areas.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv region, the enemy launched two assaults on our positions near Vovchansk and Tykhe. One of these engagements is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions near Synkivka, Kruhliakivka, Stelmakhivka, and Pishchane. Ukrainian defenders repelled all 15 enemy attacks.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces mounted 18 assaults on defense positions around Druzhlyubivka, Cherneshchyna, Nevske, Makiivka, Bilohorivka, and Novosadove throughout the day. Two engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled three offensive actions by the occupying forces in Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Daryivka. One of these engagements is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, supported by aviation, the enemy launched assaults on our positions near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora. Defensive forces repelled all four attacks by the enemy.

There were 12 engagements in the Toretsk direction. Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, Dachne, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka. All of the Russian attacks were repelled.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has launched 39 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novotoretske, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Mykolaivka, Krasnyi Yar, Vozdvyzhenska, Myroliubivka, and Marynivka. Our defenders repelled 37 assaults, with two engagements still ongoing.

Today, preliminary reports indicate that 310 Russian soldiers have been neutralized in this direction, with 120 killed. Additionally, three tanks, three armored fighting vehicles, and seven vehicles were destroyed. Five tanks, one armored fighting vehicle, two artillery systems, and 15 vehicles were damaged.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy made 40 attempts to breach our defenses near Zhelanne Pershe, Ukrainsk, Tsukuryne, Dalne, Heorhivka, and Kostiantynivka. Thirty-eight engagements have concluded, with two still ongoing.

Preliminary reports suggest that enemy losses in this direction, including those killed and wounded, total 70 individuals. One tank and one armored fighting vehicle were also destroyed.

In the Vremivka direction, the enemy launched six attacks on our units near Katerynivka and Bohoiavlenka. Currently, four of these attacks are still ongoing.

In other directions, there have been no significant changes.

Frontline situation

On the evening of September 18, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine using Shahed-type drones. Air raid alerts have been declared in several southern and central regions.

Meanwhile, a powerful explosion was heard in Sumy, leading to partial power outages in the city.

In the early hours of Wednesday, Ukrainian forces used kamikaze drones to destroy a large ammunition depot in Toropets, Tver Region.
