Over the last day, September 5, 138 combat engagements occurred in the frontline. In many areas, Russia engaged aviation, according to General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted six strikes on Russian manpower concentrations, two air defense facilities, and two other important enemy targets," the General Staff writes.
Sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, 2 combat engagements took place near Vovchansk. Russians were actively using drones.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russians attacked 17 times near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Berestove, and Miasozharivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russia attacked 27 times near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Novosadove, Nevske, and Torske.
In the Siversk sector, 4 Russian attacks were repelled. The occupants tried to advance near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Dariivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 6 Russian attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses were stopped. Russia, supported by aviation, made efforts in the area of Chasiv Yar and Kalynivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the Russians attacked Ukrainian defenders' positions 15 times in the areas of Nelipivka, Toretsk, and New York.
In the Pokrovsk sector, 52 Russian assaults and attacks were repelled in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, Mykolaivka and Myroliubivka. Russia also used aircraft.
In the Kurakhove sector, Russian attacks near Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Krasnohorivka were stopped, where Russia tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops 46 times.
In the Vremivka sector, the Russians conducted 4 assaults on our positions near Kostiantynivka and Vodiane.
In the Orikhiv sector, 2 combat engagements took place in Robotyne and Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russian occupants continue to try to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces units from their positions. 5 Russian attacks have been unsuccessful.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 621,000 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated another 1,200 Russian troops. They also destroyed 6 tanks, 21 armored combat vehicles, 31 artillery systems, and more.
