The situation in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions of the front remains tense, with the enemy concentrating its main offensive efforts there. Additionally, the Russian army actively attacked the Lyman direction over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Over the past day, there have been 193 combat engagements along the front.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully attempted to storm our positions twice in the Vovchansk area and dropped one aerial bomb each on Makarove and Male Vesele.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked our positions eight times. Near the settlements of Synkivka, Hlushkivka, and Berestove, Defense Forces repelled seven assaults. Fighting continues in the Stelmakhivka area.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched 27 attacks on Ukrainian defenders across eight different settlements today. The most intense clashes occurred near Hrekyivka, Nevske, and Novosadove, with six, nine, and five engagements respectively.

The enemy made five assault attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the Verkhniokamianske, Ivanodarivka, and Spirne areas in the Siversk direction. They faced a strong repulse and withdrew.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled seven attempts by the Russian army to advance. The enemy concentrated their efforts around Chasiv Yar and conducted one attack each in the areas of Andriivka and Klishchiivka.

In the Toretsk direction, where Russian forces attacked our positions near New York, Nelipivka, and Toretsk 14 times, 12 engagements have already concluded. Fighting continues in the New York area.

The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts in the Pokrovsk direction. Throughout today, the Russian army launched 60 attacks on our positions, with the majority of engagements occurring around Novohrodivka and Mykhailivka. Twelve battles are still ongoing.

Preliminary estimates indicate that today the Russian army lost 155 soldiers killed and 220 wounded in the Pokrovsk direction. Six vehicles and one MT-LB were destroyed. Ukrainian defenders also inflicted significant damage to six artillery systems, three vehicles, one armored vehicle, and a tank.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Russian forces have been quite active as well, with 46 enemy attacks recorded so far today. Three of these attacks are ongoing. The main fighting took place around Kostiantynivka, Ukrainsk, and Heorhiivka. The Russian forces used armored vehicles, destroying ten BMPs, one BTR, three motorcycles, and damage to a tank.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian army attempted to storm the front line ten times today in the direction of Vuhledar, near Vodiane, and Kostiantynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, six attacks by Russian forces were repelled near Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, enemy units made five unsuccessful attempts to break through the island zone.

On September 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following a report from Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced that the military command has decided to reinforce Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk direction.
