On the front in Ukraine, there were 111 combat engagements reported throughout the day on August 13, with the situation remaining intense into the evening. Russian forces have intensified their activities in the Prydniprovskyi direction, though the Pokrovsk region continues to be the hottest area, reports the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The military command provided an update on the operational situation as of 10:00 PM on August 13.

Russian shelling

Since the start of the day, Russian forces have launched one missile attack (2 missiles), carried out 63 aerial strikes (including the use of 83 KABs), and conducted 489 kamikaze drone strikes on Ukrainian territory.

Additionally, the enemy has carried out 2,760 shellings of Ukrainian defense positions.

Frontline situation

The General Staff noted that Ukrainian defenders are focusing their efforts on disrupting the Russian forces' plans to seize Ukrainian territory and are depleting the combat potential of the Russian militaries.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy launched 12 assaults on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the areas of Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Tykhe, and Vovchansk. Fighting continues near the latter.

"Preliminarily, today our forces neutralized 128 Russian soldiers, destroyed six tanks, two pieces of special equipment, and seven vehicles. Another tank, four artillery systems, and four armored fighting vehicles were significantly damaged. The tally is ongoing," the report states.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked twice, unsuccessfully attempting to advance towards Synkivka and Novoosynove.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army made 11 assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Terni, Nevske, and Makiivka, as well as in the Serebrianske Forestry. Two of these engagements are still ongoing, the General Staff reported, adding that the situation remains under control.

In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces thwarted five attempts by the enemy to improve their tactical position near Verkhniokamianske and Spirne. The Russian army suffered losses, according to the military command.

In the Kramatorsk direction, five attempts by the Russian army to advance near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora failed. Additionally, one battle is still ongoing, with the situation under the control of the defense forces.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army made seven assaults in the areas of Zalizne and Toretsk. Enemy bombing aviation was actively involved. Five attacks were repelled, and fighting continued in two locations.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy continues to intensify their attacks on Ukrainian positions, with 48 assault and offensive actions carried out in a single day.

The greatest activity of Russian forces is reported in the areas of Hrodivka, Yelyzavetivka, Skuchne, and Zhelanne. Nine battles in these directions are still ongoing.

"Preliminary estimates indicate that today our forces have eliminated 124 and wounded 192 Russian soldiers. Two BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers, two tanks, four vehicles, one MT-LB, and three artillery systems were destroyed," the General Staff reported.

The report also notes significant damage to two enemy vehicles, four pieces of artillery, two tanks, and one infantry fighting vehicle.

In the Kurakhove direction, four combat engagements occurred. The invaders unsuccessfully attempted to advance in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, six enemy attacks were recorded near Vodiane and Kostiantynivka. The fighting continues.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, there has been an increase in enemy activity, with nine enemy assaults reported. The adversary was unsuccessful in all attempts.

It was noted yesterday by the spokesperson for the Tavria operational group, Dmytro Lykhovii, that Russian forces are redeploying units, including from the Prydniprovskyi direction to the Kursk direction.

He also pointed out that when there were more enemy troops in the Dnipro direction, there were fewer assault operations.

Earlier, the General Staff reported that on August 12, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions in the Prydniprovskyi direction six times, and these assaults ended in failure for the Russians.
