Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of late August 10

Since the beginning of the day on 10 August, 92 combat engagements have taken place at the frontline. As of 10 p.m., Russia attempted to penetrate the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 33 times, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the day, Russia launched one missile attack on the territory of Ukraine using one missile, 53 air strikes (including 73 combat aircraft), and 577 kamikaze drones. In addition, Russia fired 3,439 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.
Situation at frontlines
In the Kharkiv sector, Russia attacked 5 times near Vovchansk. 4 of them were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and one is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russia tried unsuccessfully to advance near Stelmakhivka five times during the day.
In the Lyman sector, Russia attacked 13 times in the vicinity of Makiivka and Nevske, as well as in the Serebryanske forestry. One firefight is still ongoing, the situation is under control, and Ukrainian troops stopped the rest.
In the Siversk sector, Russia attempted to break through the Ukrainian defenses 6 times in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, and Vyimka. It was unsuccessful. Russia suffered losses.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia's activity resulted in nine combat engagements. 8 Russian attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora were stopped. One firefight is still ongoing. The Russian invaders are suffering losses.
In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian troops also repelled 9 Russian attacks near Pivnichne, Toretsk, Zalizne, and Nyzhnyk. 7 of them were completed, and fighting continues in two locations near New York. The situation is under control.
Russia is most active in the Pokrovsk sector today. In total, the Russian occupants tried to break into the Ukrainian army's defenses 33 times. They concentrated their efforts in the areas of Hrodivka and Zhelanne. In addition, Russians attacked 9 other localities in the vicinity. Currently, 10 clashes are ongoing. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the Russian troops from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
"Russia is suffering significant losses - according to preliminary information, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized 313 Russian occupants in this sector, 115 of them were killed irretrievably. 4 Russian armored combat vehicles, an artillery system, and 17 dugouts were destroyed. 3 more Russian cannons, an armored tractor, and a vehicle were heavily damaged," the report says.
In the Kurakhove sector, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions 9 times. They were most active in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka. All Russian attempts to break through in this area were unsuccessful.
In the Vremivka sector, fighting continues near Vodiane.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russia continues to try to drive Ukrainian troops from their positions. 2 Russian attacks were repelled by Ukrainian troops.
Ukraine's General Staff also ьфклув the brigades holding defense in the most difficult areas of the frontline.
"Today we are honoring the soldiers of the Magura 47th separate mechanized brigade Magura, the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko, and the 100th separate mechanized brigade who are bravely holding the line in the hottest spots of the frontline," Ukraine's General Staff sums up.
