As of 16:00 on July 6, the number of combat engagements along the front line increased to 83. Russians are concentrating their offensive efforts on the Lyman and Pokrovsk directions. However, Ukrainian soldiers are resolutely holding back the invaders' offensive and inflicting significant losses on the enemy, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation at the frontlines

Kharkiv region is suffering from systematic bombing by enemy aircraft. Today, a total of nine air strikes were carried out from the Russian territory, dropping 13 glide bombs. The enemy attacked the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Lyptsi and Vovchanski Khutory.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Lyptsi, Hlyboke, and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv sector. The situation is under control.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions four times in the areas of Petropavlivka, Synkivka, and Stelmakhivka. Two firefights in the area of Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army launched 13 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Makiivka, Hrekivka, Terny, and Torske. Six engagements ended without success for the enemy, seven more are ongoing. The occupants are most active in the area of Makiivka and Nevske, accounting for over a third of all combat engagements.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy carried out four attacks near Spirne and Vyimka. Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks. A battle is currently underway near Spirne. The situation is under control.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kalynivka, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, and Ivanivske.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted seven times to conduct assault operations near Toretsk, Zalizne, Pivnichne, and Niu York. The battle is ongoing in the area of Niu York. In addition, the invaders launched air strikes on Yurivka with unguided missiles and dropped two glide bombs near Niu York.

The Pokrovsk direction has seen the largest number of combat engagements so far. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has made 26 attempts to force Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Yuryivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Lozuvatske, Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Yevhenivka, Yasnobrodivka and Karlivka. Eight combat engagements are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out air strikes in the areas of Oleksandropol and Novoselivka Persha.

Fighting continues in the Kurakhove direction. So far, Ukrainian defenders have repelled ten attacks by the occupying army, and the enemy is concentrating its efforts in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka. The enemy bombarded the areas of Kostiantynivka and Katerynivka with glide bombs.

Two enemy attacks near Vodiane were repelled in the Vremivka direction. The enemy is actively using aviation - a total of ten bombs were dropped near Elizavetivka, Kostiantynopolske, Hannivka, and Velyka Novosilka, and unguided missiles were launched near Urozhayne.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy failed to advance near the settlements of Rabotyne and Novodanylivka, having made three assaults. In addition, they bombed the areas of Novodanylivka and Huliaipole with glide bombs.

This week, the Russian Federation fired more than 600 glide bombs, more than 60 Shaheds, and nearly 40 missiles of various types towards the territory of Ukraine.
