Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 15

Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelling Russian attacks near Avdiivka and damaging the enemy's radar station, according to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the day, there were 51 combat clashes. In total, the enemy launched 30 rocket and 56 aerial strikes, conducted 70 shelling attacks using reactive multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Multi-story and private houses, educational institutions, as well as critical infrastructure objects, have been destroyed and damaged.
Frontline situation
There have been no significant changes in the operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions. No signs of the formation of attacking groupings have been detected. Identified units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Okhrymivka, Nesterne, Budarky, Chorne, Kolodiazhne in the Kharkiv region. Approximately 20 populated settlements, including Velyka Pysarivka, Volodymyrivka, Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region, and Kudyivka, Krasne, Staritsia, Vovchansk, Okhrymivka in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled an attack in the area of Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy also carried out an air strike.
Approximately 10 populated settlements, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kotliarivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled 5 attacks near Terniv, Yampolivka, and Vesele in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Novolubivka, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Terny, Novosadove in the Donetsk region.
Over 10 populated settlements, including Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, Terniv, Yampolivka, Torske in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks in the areas of populated settlements Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve tactical positions. The enemy also carried out an air strike near New York in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 10 populated settlements, including Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 14 attacks in the area of Avdiivka and another 1 attack near Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, continues attempts to capture Avdiivka. The occupiers also carried out air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Novoselivka Persha, Ocheretine, Berdychiv, Orlivka, and Lastochkyne in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 20 populated settlements, including Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Berdychiv, Lastochkyne, Severne in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Here, the invaders, with the support of aviation, attempted to breach the defense of our troops 17 times.
Populated settlements Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our defenders repelled 3 enemy attacks south of Prechystivka and near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Vodiane, Shevchenko, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, and Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Approximately 10 populated settlements, including Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. They shelled over 20 populated settlements, including Malynivka, Chervone, Bilohiria, Robotyne, Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, artillery and mortar shelling affected Kherson, Inzhenerne, Veletenke in the Kherson region, and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive
The enemy persists in their intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro.
During the day, there was one attempt to storm the positions of our troops.
Enemy losses
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces struck in 12 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Missile forces units struck in 2 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, 1 artillery position, 1 ammunition depot, and 1 enemy radar station.
The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 399,090 military personnel.
