Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 13

During the day, the aviation of the defense forces struck 11 areas of concentration of personnel. Despite significant losses, Russia does not abandon its plans for the full occupation of Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
The adversary continues its aggressive war, persisting in plans for the full occupation of Ukraine despite significant losses. Ignoring laws and customs of war, they resort to terror tactics, striking both military and civilian targets. The enemy actively employs aviation and FPV quadcopters, conducting assault operations with armored support.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.
Over the past day, there have been 52 skirmishes.
In total, the enemy launched 1 missile strike, and 94 aerial attacks, and conducted 89 shelling operations with multiple launch rocket systems on our troops' positions and civilian areas. Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among civilians. Multistory and private buildings, as well as critical infrastructure objects, have suffered destruction and damage.
The situation on the fronts
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
The enemy launched an airstrike on the village of Krugle in the Kharkiv region. More than 20 settlements, including Hremiach, Zarychchia, Korenyok, Pavlivka in the Sumy region; Udy, Alisivka, Kozacha Lopan, Lukyantsi, Vovchansk, and Veterynarne in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by Russian invaders.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions but delivered 2 airstrikes on the populated area of Novoegorivka in the Luhansk region. Additionally, approximately 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Ivanivka, Synkivka, and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 2 enemy attacks near the populated areas of Yampolivka in the Donetsk region and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to break through our troops' defense. The enemy conducted 5 airstrikes in the areas of the populated settlements of Terny and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region, Spyrne, Torske, Serebrianka, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 8 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivskyi, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to improve their tactical position. Additionally, the enemy conducted an airstrike in Chasove Yar in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Kurdiumivka, Bohdanivka, Klishchyvka, New York, and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction,
Ukrainian soldiers repelled 10 enemy attacks in the area of Avdiivka and another 2 attacks in the area of Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with aviation support, attempted to break through our troops' defense. Additionally, the enemy conducted 2 airstrikes in the area of the populated settlement of Orlivka in the Donetsk region. Approximately 20 populated areas, including Berdychiv, Stepove, Lastochkyne, and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Hеorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with aviation support, attempted to improve its tactical position 11 times. Additionally, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the area of the populated settlement of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Under the enemy's artillery and mortar fire were Hеorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Paraskeviiivka, and Pershomayske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian occupiers did not conduct offensive actions. The enemy conducted an airstrike in the area of Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region, and Levadne, Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack in the area east of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russian occupiers' aviation conducted strikes on populated settlements: Dolynka, Zholta Krucha, and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Approximately 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Huliaypole, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, Robotine, and Pyatyhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy persists in its intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. During the day, Russian occupiers made an unsuccessful attempt to storm our troops' positions. Under artillery fire were: Kherson, Tokariivka, Romashkove in the Kherson region. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements of Kryinka in the Kherson region. Additionally, Russian occupiers shelled with reactive rocket fire systems in the areas of populated settlements: Tyahinka, Ivanivka, and Kryinka in the Kherson region.
Enemy losses
During the day, the defense forces' aviation conducted strikes on 11 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, on a command post, and in 3 areas where anti-aircraft missile systems were located. Using the means and capabilities of Ukraine's air defense, 16 combat drones of the Shahed-136/131 type were destroyed.
Rocket troops units struck the area of concentration of enemy personnel, 4 artillery units, 1 command post, 2 ammunition depots, and a means of electronic warfare of Russian occupiers.
Frontline situation
Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Tuesday, February 13, amounted to 1090 occupiers; the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 397,080 military personnel. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 30 drones, 27 armored vehicles, and 19 artillery systems.
According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian military repelled 35 enemy attacks on the Maryinka direction, held positions, and repelled assaults by occupation forces on the Kherson direction. Missile troops struck 7 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
In particular, as reported by the Institute of War Studies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine restored tactical positions approximately three kilometers east of Yamolivka (west of Kremenna). They also advanced southwest of Donetsk. Russian forces advanced east of the village of Terny.
