Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 10

Russian invaders attempted to attack the Ukrainian Defense Forces on six fronts. However, Ukrainian military repelled their attempts, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
The enemy launched two missile and 33 aviation strikes, conducting 29 artillery attacks with MLRS on the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.
The situation at the frontlines
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex. Over the past day, there have been 82 armed clashes.
The operational situation on the Volyn and Polissya directions remains without significant changes. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the adversary maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, fires on populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
Approximately 25 populated areas, including Hrinivka, Klyusy, Arkhypivka in the Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Prohres, Druzhba, Kruzhok, Hrabovske, Popivka in the Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Hrafske, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky in the Kharkiv region, have been subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region. The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region and Tverdokhlibove in the Luhansk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Terniv, Vesele in the Donetsk region, and Makiivka in the Luhansk region. The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the Makiivka and Serebrianske forestry areas in the Luhansk region. About 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of the populated localities of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk in the Donetsk region. About 10 populated areas, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 39 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, south of Siverske and Tonenke, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. The enemy made unsuccessful attempts to break through the defense of our troops here. The enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of the populated localities Kalynove, Ocheretyne, Novopokrovsk, and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.
About 15 populated areas, including Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, made 14 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders. The following populated areas in the Donetsk region, such as Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled all enemy attacks, attempting to displace Ukrainian units from the occupied positions in the area southeast of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhainne, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the Robotyne area of the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 populated areas, including Levadne, Malynivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Novoandriivka, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, enemy artillery shelling affected Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Antonivka in the Kherson region, and the city of Kherson; as well as Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
Ukrainian counteoffenisve
The defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region and continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.
Enemy losses
Missile troops units struck in three areas where personnel, weapons, military equipment, and one ammunition depot of Russian occupiers were concentrated.
