Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 25

Ukrainian military continues to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
During the day, 42 combat clashes occurred. The enemy delivered 3 missiles and 99 air strikes, and conducted 38 artillery shelling with MLRS on the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas.
Additionally, Russian occupiers carried out an air strike on Ukraine, using 75 strike UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type, of which 74 were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.
Frontlines situation
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains challenging.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no significant signs of the formation of offensive groups. Identified units of the Armed forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the adversary maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
Approximately 15 populated areas, including Klyusy, Yeline, Bleshnya, Tymonovychi, Leonivka, Hremyach in the Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Kyndrativka, Loknya, Zapsillya, Turya, Popivka in the Sumy region; Udy, Alisivka, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted assault actions in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, where the Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks. Aviation strikes were inflicted near Ivanivka and Kyslivka. Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Aviation strikes were inflicted near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Terniv in the Donetsk region. About 10 populated areas suffered from artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevske, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebryanka, Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where 7 attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces. More than 10 populated areas, including Bohdanivka, Mykolaivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 17 attacks by occupiers near Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and south of Novokalynove in the Donetsk region. About 15 populated areas, including Sukha Balka, Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, were shelled with artillery and mortar fire.
In the Maryinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming actions in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 7 attacks. Aviation strikes were inflicted near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 populated areas in the Donetsk region, including Oleksandrivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming actions south of Zolota Nyva and east of Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 populated areas, including Vodyane, Bohoyavlenske, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted four times to regain the lost positions in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Charyvne, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Plavne in Zaporizhzhia region, were shelled by enemy artillery and mortars.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy shelled artillery in Kherson, Mykhailivka, Shliakhove, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Dniprovskyi, Berehove in the Kherson region, and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.
Ukrainian counteoffenisve
The defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnieper in Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.
Enemy losses
During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation carried out 11 strikes on areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated.
Missile units targeted seven areas with enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, destroying four artillery units and an ammunition depot.
