Ukrainian fighters continue to advance on two fronts, repelling Russian attacks near Avdiivka and destroying the occupiers' command post, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Over the day, there were 57 clashes. In total, the enemy carried out 10 airstrikes and conducted 24 artillery shellings on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian areas.

Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered damage and destruction. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population.

Frontline situation

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.

Units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy keeps a military presence in border areas, conducts reconnaissance and sabotage activities, fires at populated areas from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. Approximately 20 settlements have been shelled with enemy artillery and mortars.

On the Kupiansk front, the enemy's unsuccessful assault actions took place in the areas of Synkivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 15 attacks. Over 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.

On the Lyman front, over 10 settlements were shelled with artillery and mortar fire.

On the Bakhmut front, the enemy's unsuccessful assault actions occurred near Bohdanivka and Khromove in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks. Over 20 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Avdiivka front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Stepove, Avdiivka, and Tonenke in the Donetsk region. The Defense Forces repelled nine attacks. Over 10 settlements were shelled with artillery and mortar fire.

On the Maryinka front, the occupiers carried out unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 18 attacks. Approximately 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the area of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 settlements were shelled with artillery and mortar fire.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks near Chervone, Robotyne, and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 settlements were shelled with artillery and mortar fire.

On the Kherson front, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Beryslav in the Kherson region. Also, Zelenivka in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson were subjected to enemy artillery fire.

Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukraine's military continues offensive operations on the Melitopol front, offensive (assault) actions on the Bakhmut front, inflicting losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and exhausting the enemy along the entire frontline.

Enemy losses

During the day, the aviation of the Armed Forces delivered five strikes on the concentration areas of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, and one strike on the enemy's air defense complex.

Units of the missile forces hit three artillery units, a command post, and a concentration area of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment of the enemy.

The total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 305,970 soldiers.
