Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 3

Ukrainian forces are advancing on two fronts, repelling 14 attacks by occupiers near Donetsk and destroying two Russian ammunition depots, according to data from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
During the day, there were 53 armed clashes in total. The enemy conducted 1 missile strike and 67 aviation strikes, along with 40 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launcher systems targeting our troops' positions and civilian settlements.
Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure suffered damage and destruction. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties.
Fontlines situation
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.
Identified units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts reconnaissance and sabotage activities, carries out shelling of populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
Approximately 20 populated areas, including Karpovychi, Yeline, Kostobobriv, the Chernihiv region, Seredyna-Buda, Volodymyrivka, Stepok, the Sumy region, and Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Bologivka, the Kharkiv region, have been shelled by artillery and mortars.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming actions near Synkivka, Ivanivka, the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, the Luhansk region, where our troops repelled 7 attacks.
The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Novoselivka, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, and Pishchane, the Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Berestove, the Kharkiv region.
On the Lyman front, the enemy did not engage in offensive actions. They conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Proletarske, the Kharkiv region and Serebrianske Forestry, Siversk, the Donetsk region.
Over 10 populated areas, including Makiivka, Nevske, Biloherivka, the Luhansk region, and Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Torske, Rozdolivka, the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy made eight unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground in the Klischiivka area, the Donetsk region. They also conducted unsuccessful storming actions near Bohdanivka and Khromove, the Donetsk region.
An aviation strike was carried out in the area of Khromove, the Donetsk region. Approximately 15 populated areas, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Klischiivka, Andriivka, Chasiv Yar, the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, with the support of aviation, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming actions in the areas of Stepove, Tonenke, Avdiivka, Siverske, and Pervomaiske, the Donetsk region. In total, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 17 attacks. The enemy also carried out an aviation strike in the Avdiivka area, the Donetsk region.
Over 10 populated areas, including Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, the Donetsk region, were shelled by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Maryinka front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming actions in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka, the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks. The enemy also conducted aviation strikes in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka areas, the Donetsk region.
Over 10 populated areas in Donetsk region, including Krasnohorivka, Pobeda, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Vodiane, Vuhledar, Staromaiorske, and south of Zolota Niva, the Donetsk region.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost positions in the area of Robotyne, the Zaporizhzhia region.
Approximately 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Charyvne, Roboyine, and Kamianske, the Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kherson front, the enemy's artillery shelling targeted Kherson, Antonivka, the Kherson region, and Solonchaky, the Mykolaiv region.
Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Simultaneously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol front, conduct offensive actions on the Bakhmut front, inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wear down the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
During the day, the air force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces delivered 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and 2 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complexes.
In addition, with the forces and means of air defense, 11 reconnaissance UAVs, 24 combat UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type, and 1 missile X-59 of the enemy were destroyed.
Missile troops units hit 7 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, a jamming station, a radar station, 2 ammunition depots, and 10 artillery assets of the enemy.
The total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 303,270 military personnel.
