Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 25

Ukrainian fighters continue to advance on two fronts. They repelled a Russian attack near Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region and destroyed three enemy ammunition depots, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
On the night of October 25, Russian terrorist forces carried out another aerial attack on Ukraine, using 11 Shahed-136/131 drones. All kamikaze drones were successfully downed by anti-aircraft defense.
Unfortunately, the falling debris from the drones resulted in civilian casualties. In the cities of Slavuta and Netishyn in the Khmelnytskyi region, 11 multi-story and 9 private houses, 2 educational institutions, 2 fire rescue units, a police department, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Throughout the day, there were 66 clashes. In total, the enemy launched 47 airstrikes and conducted 25 artillery shellings on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
An aerial bomb strike on a residential quarter in Beryslav, Kherson region, resulted in casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure were also damaged.
Frontline situation
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of enemy offensive group formations. Designated units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, continues to conduct reconnaissance and subversive activities, fires on civilian settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along Ukraine's state border. Over 30 settlements were shelled by the enemy's artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming operations near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 11 enemy attacks. Russian occupiers also carried out an aerial strike near Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. Around 10 settlements were targeted by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defense forces repelled all enemy attacks near Nadiia and Makiivka in the Luhansk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region, Hryhorivka, and Verkhniokamianske in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an aerial strike near Khromove in the Donetsk region. Approximately 20 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful storming operations with aviation support near Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, and Severne in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks. The enemy also conducted an aerial strike in the area of Novobakhmutivka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements, were targeted by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Maryinka front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming operations with aviation support in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defense forces repelled 14 enemy attacks. Around 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful storming operations with aviation support in the areas of Vodiane, Novoukrainka, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. The enemy also conducted an aerial strike near Volodyne in the Donetsk region. Around 10 settlements were targeted by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled an enemy attack near Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Novodarivka and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 settlements were targeted by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kherson front, the occupiers carried out aerial strikes with over 25 guided aerial bombs in the areas of Zmiivka, Beryslav, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, and Olhivka in the Kherson region. Enemy artillery and mortar fire hit Kherson, Chervonyi Maiak, and Antonivka in the Kherson region.
Ukrainian Armed Forces' advance
Ukrainian forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol front and conduct offensive (storming) operations on the Bakhmut front, inflicting losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
Over the course of the day, Ukrainian defense aviation carried out 7 strikes on enemy personnel, armaments, and military equipment concentration areas.
Missile forces units struck 3 ammunition depots, 6 artillery units, and a radar station of the enemy's air defense.
The total number of Russian losses since the beginning of the invasion is 296,310 military personnel.
