Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 13

Ukrainian fighters continue to advance on two fronts. They repelled approximately 10 attacks near Maryinka and destroyed the enemy's Orlan-10 drone, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
The Kremlin's terrorist forces cynically launched a missile strike on a children's art center in the center of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
As a result of the hit, over 20 civilians were wounded, and two administrative buildings were partially destroyed.
Over the day, there were 68 clashes. The enemy delivered 2 rocket and 39 aviation strikes and conducted 24 shellings with rocket artillery on the troops' positions and populated areas.
Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.
Frontline situation
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation has remained largely unchanged, with no significant signs of enemy offensive groupings.
Designated units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, continues shelling settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along Ukraine's state border. Russians conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Leonivka and Hremiach in the Chernihiv region, as well as Popivka in the Sumy region. Enemy artillery and mortar fire affected more than 15 settlements.
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region. Additionally, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in this area. Over 15 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Lyman front, the enemy launched aviation strikes in the areas of Nevske, Novoliubivka, Bilohorivka, Serebrianske Forest in the Luhansk region, and Spirne in the Donetsk region. At the same time, the Defense Forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area of Makiivka in the Luhansk region. Over 15 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and New York in the Donetsk region. Over 20 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders bravely held their ground, repelling 10 enemy attacks in the area of Avdiivka and over 15 attacks in the areas of Keramik, Tonenke, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Netailove in the Donetsk region. Occupiers conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Novokalynove and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. Nearly 20 settlements experienced enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Maryinka front, the defense forces successfully repelled about 10 enemy attacks in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region during the day. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Around 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy's storming actions supported by aviation in the area of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. Over 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost ground in the Robotyne area of the Zaporizhzhia region. Occupiers conducted an aviation strike in the Novoandriivka area of the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 25 settlements experienced enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Kherson front, occupiers launched aviation strikes in the areas of Kozatske, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Vysoke, and Ulianovka in the Kherson region. Enemy artillery and mortar shelling affected Beryslav, Sadove, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, and Kherson in the Kherson region.
Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol front and conduct assault operations on the Bakhmut front, inflicting losses on occupation forces in personnel and equipment, and exhausting the enemy along the entire frontline.
Enemy losses
Over the course of the day, the Ukrainian forces' aviation carried out 12 strikes on the enemy's personnel, weaponry, military equipment, and a bridge. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed a Russian Su-25 fighter jet and an operational-tactical UAV Orlan-10.
Rocket troops inflicted damage on the enemy's command post, personnel concentration area, weaponry, military equipment, ammunition depot, and the enemy's EW station.
The total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 285,920 military personnel.
