Ukrainian forces are advancing on the Bakhmut and Melitopol fronts. They repelled a Russian attack near Bilohorivka (Luhansk region) and destroyed two enemy electronic warfare stations, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

During the day, there were 19 clashes. Overnight, occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, launching 39 strikes. Of these, 31 were destroyed by Ukraine's anti-aircraft defense. In total, the enemy conducted 76 airstrikes and over 40 artillery shells on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian areas.

Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have also suffered damage and destruction.

Frontline situation

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, continues shelling settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. Over 35 settlements have been shelled by the enemy's artillery and mortars.

On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted aviation strikes near Kruhle, Kupiansk, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. Over 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defense forces repelled an enemy attack in the Bilohorivka area of the Luhansk region. Enemy aviation strikes hit Torske, Siversk, Spirne, and Vesele in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements were affected by artillery and mortar fire.

On the Bakhmut front, the enemy conducted aviation strikes near Kostiantynivka and Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. Over 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire. An increase in the density of mine and explosive barriers is observed.

On the Avdiivka front, the enemy attempted three times to regain lost positions south of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region but was unsuccessful. Instead, the enemy carried out aviation strikes near this settlement. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled an enemy attack in the area of Nevelske in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Maryinka front, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled six enemy attacks in the vicinity of Maryinka in the Donetsk region over the course of the day. Approximately 10 settlements were under enemy fire.

On the Shakhtarsk front, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled an enemy attack in the vicinity of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes near Urozhaine and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements were shelled with artillery and mortars.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy attempted to regain lost positions in the Chervone area of the Zaporizhzhia region but was unsuccessful. The enemy carried out aviation strikes near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 30 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.

On the Kherson front, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Mykolaivka in the Kherson region. Over 10 settlements were shelled with enemy artillery and mortars.

Ukrainian counteroffensive

Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol front and conduct offensive (assault) actions on the Bakhmut front, inflicting losses on occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy along the entire frontline.

Enemy losses

During the day, Ukrainian defense aviation conducted 13 strikes on areas with enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, with one strike on an anti-aircraft missile system and two strikes on enemy electronic warfare stations. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed two reconnaissance tactical-level UAVs.

Missile troops units struck an anti-aircraft missile system, 11 artillery units, and an enemy ammunition depot.

The total number of losses for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 277,320 military personnel.
