Ukrainian fighters are advancing in Donbas and in the Zaporizhzhia region, repelling a Russian attack near Zaitseve and destroying an enemy Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

During the past 24 hours, there have been over 15 military clashes. Additionally, the Russian Federation launched another aerial strike on Ukraine using combat UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type.

As a result of anti-aircraft defense operations, 17 Shahed UAVs were destroyed along their flight route within the territory of the Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Dnipro regions. Unfortunately, an oil refinery plant in the Poltava region was affected by these strikes, and relevant services are currently working on addressing the consequences.

In total, during this period, the enemy conducted 72 aerial strikes and carried out 35 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launchers targeting the positions of our troops and civilian areas. Russian terrorist attacks have caused destruction and damage to residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.

Frontline situation

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the formation of offensive enemy groups.

Units of the Armed Forces of Belarus have been identified operating in border regions with Ukraine.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas and continues shelling populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation.

More than 25 populated areas, including Karpovychi, Arkhypivka, Leonivka, and Vilchyky in the Chernihiv region; Stara Huta, Seredyna-Buda, Bilovody, Taratutine, and Hrabovske in the Sumy region; and Ivashky, Udy, Pletenivka, Vilkhuvatka, and Bologivka in the Kharkiv region, have been subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted artillery and mortar shelling on Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Tabaiivka, and Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, enemy aircraft conducted strikes near Nevskoie, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Novosadove, Torskoe, Spirne, and Veseloye in the Donetsk region.

More than 20 populated areas, including Vasukivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Ivanivske, Dachne, and Zalizne in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, approximately 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Orlivka, Siverne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Maryinka direction, our defenders successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region during the day. The enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Oleksandrivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Katerynivka in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar shelling by the occupiers.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted an aerial strike near Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

More than 20 populated areas, including Zaliznychne, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Lobkove, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Kozatske, Olhivka, Tokarivka, and Tiahynka in the Kherson region.

Around 10 populated areas, including Sablukivka, Respublikanets, Mykolaivka, Dniprovskyi, and Kyzomys in the Kherson region, were under artillery and mortar fire.

Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, carrying out assault actions in the Bakhmut direction, causing losses to the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy.

Enemy losses

During the day, the aviation of the Armed Forces delivered 8 strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel, weaponry, and military equipment were concentrated.

Units of the missile troops struck one area of concentration of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment and destroyed 1 Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system and 4 enemy artillery assets.

The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 273,980 military personnel.
