Ukrainian soldiers continue to advance near Bakhmut and in the Melitopol direction, repelling enemy attacks near Kupiansk and destroying two Russian command posts, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
Over the past day, there have been 34 clashes. The enemy launched 4 missile strikes, 62 airstrikes, and carried out 26 artillery barrages using multiple rocket launchers on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Popivka in the Chernihiv region, Hrabovske, Starykove in the Sumy region, and Hranova in the Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 25 settlements.
In the Kupiansk direction, the defense forces repelled enemy attacks near Synkivka. Artillery and mortar shelling affected over 10 settlements.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian advance in the areas of Novoiehorivka in the Luhansk region. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne in the Donetsk region. Artillery and mortar shelling impacted around 10 settlements.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Klishchiivka areas of the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an airstrike near Ivanivske, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Novokalynove and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an airstrike near Avdiivka. More than 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an airstrike near Krasnohorivka. Around 10 settlements experienced artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to resist the Russian forces' advance south of Prechystivka. The enemy conducted an airstrike near Urozhaine. Artillery and mortar shelling affected over 10 settlements.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes near Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Omelnyk in the Zaporizhzhia region. Artillery and mortar shelling impacted more than 20 settlements.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted airstrikes near Kozatske and Odradokamianka. Artillery and mortar shelling affected Antonivka, Kherson, Veletenske, and Tomyna Balka in the Kherson region.
Ukrainian offensive
At the same time, the Ukrainian forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, destroying the enemy and gradually liberating the occupied territories.
Also, as a result of assault actions, the Ukrainian forces have achieved partial success to the south of Bakhmut, pushing the enemy out of their positions and consolidating on reached frontlines.
