Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Melitopol direction, destroying the TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system, and repelling a Russian attack near Maryinka, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the day, the enemy conducted 5 missile and 47 aviation strikes, as well as 48 shelling episodes with rocket-artillery systems on the positions of our troops and residential areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered damage.
The likelihood of missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
Frontline situation
Over the course of the day, more than 30 combat clashes took place.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Udiv and Zybino in the Kharkiv region.
They carried out mortar and artillery shelling in more than 20 residential areas, including Seredyna-Buda, Popivka, Kyndrativka in the Sumy region, and Ohrimivka, Karaichne, Okhrimivka, Mala Vovcha, Nesterne in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Pershotravneve, Kyslivka, and Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region.
Population centers Figolivka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, and Kotliarivka in the Kharkiv region suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lymansk direction, the enemy's attempted offensive actions near Novoiehorivka and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region were unsuccessful. They conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Nadiia, Tverdokhlibove, Novoiehorivka, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; and Spirne in the Donetsk region.
More than 10 population centers, including Novoiehorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampil, Syviersk, Verkhniokamyanske, Torske, Spirne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy's attempted offensive actions near Bohdanivka and Ozarianivka in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. They carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Klishchiivka, Druzhba, and Pivdennyi in the Donetsk region.
More than 25 population centers, including Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Druzhba in the Donetsk region, suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted an aerial strike in the area of Avdiivka, shelled population centers Keramic, Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sevorne, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region with artillery and mortars.
In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian forces' advance in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region.
The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk region. Population centers Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Heorhiivka, Kurakhove, Pobieda, and Yelyzavetivka in the Donetsk region were shelled by artillery fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the area of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region.
Population centers Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Zaliznychne and Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
More than 20 population centers, including Shcherbaky, Stepove, Piatykhatky, Kamianske, Plavne, and Lukianivske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
In the Kherson direction, more than 10 population centers, including Zolota Balka, Mykilske, Sadove, Kherson, Sofiivka, and Shyroka Balka in the Kherson region, suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
Ukrainian advance
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, consolidate their gained positions, and carry out counter-battery actions.
Extraordinary events
Russian occupiers continue to enforce compulsory passportization of the population in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.
In the settlement of Mykhailivka in the Skadovsk district of the Kherson region, Russian occupation forces oppress local residents who refuse to obtain Russian passports.
Due to their refusal to acquire the hostile passport, the occupiers conduct raids on residences, carry out humiliating checks, and threaten with imprisonment and deportation.
Enemy losses
The Defense Aviation conducted 7 strikes during the day on the personnel concentration areas and 4 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Rocket troops and artillery units during the day hit 1 personnel concentration area, armament and military equipment, and a heavy flamethrower salvo system TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system of the enemy.
The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 261,840 military personnel.
