As of Tuesday morning, August 29th, Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 530 occupiers, with the total number of losses for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion standing at 261,840 military personnel. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 25 artillery systems and 17 Russian armored vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 29, 2023, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: Approximately 261,840 (+530) individuals eliminated.
  • Tanks: 4,414 (+14).
  • Combat armored vehicles: 8,579 (+17).
  • Artillery systems: 5,450 (+25).
  • Multiple rocket launchers: 733 (+3).
  • Anti-aircraft missile systems: 500 (+1).
  • Aircraft: 315.
  • Helicopters: 316.
  • Tactical UAVs: 4,387 (+4).
  • Cruise missiles: 1,419 (+4).
  • Ships/boats: 18 units.
  • Vehicles and tankers: 7,909 (+43).
  • Specialized equipment: 820 (+11).
