Ukrainian forces continue to advance in the Zaporizhzhia region. The troops also repelled another enemy attack on Maryinka and destroyed two enemy ammunition depots, according to data from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian attacks
During the day, the Russian Federation launched another aerial attack using Iranian-made Shahed drones on Ukraine. With the efforts of the Ukrainian Air Force and in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' air defense, 23 enemy drones were destroyed.
The enemy conducted 5 missile and 86 aviation strikes, as well as 36 rocket attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there were casualties among the civilian population.
The probability of further missile and aviation attacks across Ukraine remains very high.
Frontline situation
Throughout the day, 33 clashes occurred.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the Kozache Lopane area of the Kharkiv region and carried out artillery and mortar shelling on more than 20 settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the Petropavlivka and Kyslivka areas.
Artillery and mortar shelling were carried out on over 20 settlements, including Karpovychi, Novovasylivka in Chernihiv region, Volfyne, Krasnopillia, Rozhkovychi, Stara Huta in the Sumy region, and Timofiivka, Veterynarne, Okhrimivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in Bilohorivka, the Luhansk region, and Serebrianka and Spirne in the Donetsk region.
Artillery shelling affected settlements in Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Torske in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions west of Kurdyumivka, south of Andriivka, and west of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
Aviation strikes were carried out in the areas of Druzhba and New York. Over 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, and Ivanivske in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the area of Avdiivka. Artillery shelling affected Novokalynove, Stepove, Berdychiv, Avdiivka, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the Russian advance in the area of Maryinka.
The enemy conducted shelling in settlements such as Krasnohorivka, Oleksandrivka, Hostre, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Staromykhailivka. Unsuccessful attempts were made to regain lost positions west of Staromykhailivka and north of Urozhaine.
Artillery shelling affected over 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Vodiane, Blahodatne, and Storozheve in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian forces. Aviation strikes were carried out in the areas of Mali Tokmachky and Piatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over 10 settlements, including Novodarivka, Bilohiria, Huliaypole, Zaliznychna, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Odradokamianka. Over 15 settlements, including Vesele, Dudchany, Dniprovske, Tiahynka, and the city of Kherson, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
Advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidating their positions on the achieved frontlines and conducting counter-battery measures.
Enemy losses
During the day, the defense forces' aviation delivered 9 strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel, weaponry, and military equipment were concentrated. Additionally, they targeted 1 anti-aircraft missile complex belonging to the occupiers.
The missile forces and artillery units during the day hit
- 20 artillery systems on firing positions;
- 1 radar station;
- 2 command posts;
- 1 area with a concentration of weaponry and military equipment;
- 1 anti-aircraft defense system;
- 1 area with a concentration of enemy personnel;
- 2 enemy ammunition depots.
It should be noted that the total number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 247,230 military personnel.
