According to the data of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, As of Wednesday morning, August 2nd, Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 540 soldiers, with a total of 247,230 military personnel lost since the beginning of the invasion. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 15 UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and 27 artillery systems.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 02.08.23 are approximately:

  • personnel ‒ about 247230 (+540) persons were liquidated,
  • tanks ‒ 4217 (+1),
  • APV ‒ 8213 (+8),
  • artillery systems – 4866 (+27),
  • MLRS – 700 (+1),
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems ‒ 463 (+1),
  • aircraft – 315 (+0),
  • helicopters – 311 (+0),
  • UAV operational-tactical level – 4042 (+15),
  • cruise missiles ‒ 1347 (+0),
  • warships / boats ‒ 18 (+0),
  • vehicles and fuel tanks – 7349 (+25),
  • special equipment ‒ 718 (+0).

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff's data, more than 40 combat clashes occurred during the past day. Ukrainian forces targeted 14 Russian artillery units and 6 enemy air defense units. Specifically, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive actions in the Berdyansk and Melitopol directions. Russian sources claim that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked occupiers near Robotyne.
