Over the past day, 184 combat engagements were registered between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian occupation forces, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The highest Russian activity was in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 Russian attacks. Intense fighting also took place in the Kupiansk, Toretsk, and Kurakhove sectors.
Russian massive shelling
Russian troops conducted 4 missile attacks, firing 12 missiles at the positions of Ukrainian units and civilian settlements. In addition, Russia carried out 86 air strikes, dropping 110 drones, and fired more than 4,300 artillery rounds, 120 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
Geography of Russian attacks
Russia attacked settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions. In particular, the following settlements came under Russian air strikes:
- Sumy region: Esman, Vorozhba, Hlukhiv, Bilopillia and others.
- Kharkiv region: Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Petropavlivka, Synkivka.
- Donetsk region: Vuhledar, Chasiv Yar, Selydove, Pokrovsk.
- Kherson region: Sadove, Tiahynka.
Ukrainian defenders's counterattacks
In response to the Russian massive strikes, Ukrainian aviation and artillery conducted 5 strikes on the areas where Russian troops were concentrated. An artillery system, a ground-based drone control station, and another important facility were hit.

- Kharkiv sector: 9 combat clashes near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, and Lyptsi.
- Kupiansk sector: 25 combat clashes near Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Kolisnykivka.
- Lyman sector: 16 Russian attacks near Druzheliubivka and Nevske.
- Siversk sector: 4 Russian attacks near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Dariivka.
- Kramatorsk sector: 17 combat clashes near Hryhorivka and Klishchiivka.
- Toretsk sector: 23 clashes near Nelipivka and New York.
- Kurakhove sector: 22 Russian attacks near Karlivka and Heorhiivka.
- Vremivka sector: 7 Russian attacks towards Vodiane and Prechystivka.
- Orikhiv sector: 4 battles near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.
- Prydniprovskyi sector: 2 Russian attacks were repelled.
- Huliaipole sector: no changes in the situation.
- Volyn and Polissia sector: no signs of Russian offensive groups being formed.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia continues to carry out mortar and artillery attacks from the territory of Russia.
Russian losses in war against Ukraine
The total losses of the Russian occupiers in the war in Ukraine exceeded 611,000 troops. Russia lost 1,090 soldiers over the past day.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that 100 Russian settlements were under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In addition, almost 600 Russian servicemen are in Ukrainian captivity.
