Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 28: Artillery systems, drones and another 1,090 troops

In the past 24 hours, Russian invaders have lost another 1,090 personnel. Overall, Russia's losses in the war have exceeded 611,000 soldiers, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to updated data, the total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 28, 2024, are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: around 611,190 (+1,090 in the last 24 hours).
- Tanks: 8,568 units (+5).
- APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 16,681 units (+14).
- Artillery systems: 17,522 units (+27).
- MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,174 units (+1).
- Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 938 units (+1).
- Aircraft: 368 units (+1).
- Helicopters: 328 units (unchanged).
- UAVs operational-tactical level: 14,348 units (+94).
- Cruise missiles: 2,553 units (+6).
- Warships/boats: 28 units (unchanged).
- Submarines: 1 unit (unchanged).
- Vehicles and fuel tankers: 23,654 units (+41).
- Special equipment: 2,950 units (+6).
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Ukraine controls 100 Russian settlements. Additionally, nearly 600 Russian military personnel are currently in Ukrainian captivity.
Moreover, Ukrainian fighters destroyed three bridges in the Kursk region, effectively trapping a portion of Russian troops in a nearly encircled situation.
