Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, has turned into ruins. There are continuous battles for the city, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“Ukrainian border guards of the Kramatorsk detachment showed what Vovchansk looks like now,” the report says.

According to the soldiers, only ruins remain of the city.

Fighting in Kharkiv region

On May 10, Russian troops launched a new offensive in the Kharkiv region. At the moment, fighting is taking place near Vovchansk, Lyptsi, and Hlyboke villages. In particular, over the past day, four attacks took place in the Kharkiv sector near Vovchansk and the village of Lyptsi.

As previously noted by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russia failed to implement its offensive in the Kharkiv region. In turn, the Ukrainian military further reinforced the Kharkiv direction.

Despite the lack of success, the Russians have been hitting Vovchansk with rocket-propelled grenade launchers, destroying all residential and infrastructure buildings. At the same time, in late September, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine liberated the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant. The fighting for the city continues.
