Russia is trying to sow discord between Ukraine and Poland as the end of the war approaches. This is a scenario orchestrated by Vladimir Putin and foreign agents, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says.
As Tusk notes, as the war in Ukraine draws to a close, Russia is doing everything possible to sow discord between Kyiv and Warsaw.
"Anti-Polish gestures by Ukrainians and fueling anti-Ukrainian sentiments in Poland are Putin’s scenario, orchestrated by foreign agents and local idiots. Always the same ones," the Prime Minister said.
In Poland, an act of vandalism against a monument to the victims of the Volhynia tragedy is being investigated. Unknown persons wrote Glory to the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army - ed.) on a red and black flag.
In April, Ukraine exhumed the victims of the Volhynia tragedy - Polish citizens who died in 1945. It was the first exhumation of the victims of the Volhynia tragedy in many years.
In August, exhumation work began on the territory of a former cemetery in Lviv.
Ukraine, in turn, plans to begin exhumations in Poland in September.
Poland provides Ukraine with military and political support. There is a logistics hub in Poland through which military aid is sent to Ukraine.
