Russia trying to conceal cholera outbreak in Crimea
The Russian Federation is trying to conceal a cholera outbreak that has occurred in the temporarily occupied Crimea, according to the Ukrainian president's representative office in Crimea.
It is noted that cholera cases have been recorded in Simferopol, Dzhankoy, and Feodosia.
"In Crimea, a cholera outbreak has been recorded in Simferopol, Dzhankoy, and Feodosia, which the occupying administration is trying to conceal," the report states.
According to the representative office, the Russians had previously ordered the closure of all beaches in Feodosia.
The likely cause of the outbreak is a sewage collector break and the discharge of waste into the sea. Earlier, media reports indicated that there is a cholera epidemic among Russian occupiers in the Kherson region and the Crimean Peninsula.
RBC-Ukraine previously reported that the Russian forces had set up numerous firing points on beaches in Crimea.
