Russia tries to shape narrative: National Security and Defense Council dismisses negotiation claims

The information space is being filled with statements about possible peace negotiations. The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine emphasizes that no agreed peace plan exists without the participation of Ukraine and Europe, according to the Telegram channel of Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.
Andriy Kovalenko stated that the information space is again filled with various scenarios and statements about possible peace negotiations. However, at this stage, it is merely an attempt to probe positions, which benefits Russia, as it can spread any narratives without real agreements.
According to him, no developed or agreed-upon plan exists. Russia seeks to impose its own narratives and present them as a coordinated plan, but this is a lie.
Kovalenko emphasizes that no plan can exist without Ukraine, just as no plan can exist without Europe. He also notes that Russia has long been conducting an information campaign, trying to promote the narrative that negotiations to end the war will be held exclusively with the United States.
"Ukraine, Europe, and the American side have refuted this many times, and dialogue continues," he stated.
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would not participate in negotiations regarding ending the war between the US and Russia in Saudi Arabia. He stressed that Ukraine would not recognize any results of these talks if they take place without its involvement.
The president emphasized that Ukraine had not been informed about these negotiations and considers any agreements with Ukraine without its participation illegitimate. According to him, the US has the right to hold bilateral talks with Russia, but Ukraine cannot recognize such agreements.
