Russia throws detained and wounded into battle as 'cannon fodder', captured soldier says

The Russian command sends to war even those who have not yet been sentenced. Ukrainian paratroopers captured one such recruit, reports the 95th Separate Polesian Air Assault Brigade.
There have been many confirmations that the Russians recruit mobilization resources from prisoners. One example is the captured soldier Alexey Shvartsman.
"It is now clear that they don’t hesitate to recruit new soldiers from those who have just been locked up in detention centers, without waiting for investigations to finish or court verdicts. Such a 'victim' of the Russian FSB regime was captured by soldiers of the 95th Air Assault Brigade," the paratroopers said.
According to military counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the prisoner was supposed to face charges for intentionally causing serious bodily harm. Instead, he was forced to sign a contract with the 104th Guards Air Assault Regiment, from which he was later captured.
"The commanders told us everything would be fine. They lied. They said there was no real war. Just 'birdies,' only 'birdies,' just dig in and sit tight. They constantly threatened to 'reset' us, meaning kill us," the Russian prisoner said.
It also became known that the Russian army has Z companies where wounded soldiers are sent back to fight instead of being hospitalized.
As a reminder, Russia recruits about 10,000 people to the front each month, according to earlier reports. In a separate article, RBC-Ukraine explained what promises convince Russians to go to the battlefield and the main reasons for signing contracts with the army.
Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured another Chinese citizen who fought in the Russian army. He was identified as 24-year-old Wang Wu.
