Russian forces attempted to attack a passenger train near Kramatorsk on October 24. Fortunately, the attack failed, according to Ukrzaliznytsia.

"A drone attack on train No. 104/103 Lviv-Kramatorsk was recorded near Kramatorsk station," the statement reads.

Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed that the drone did not hit the train, but the blast wave damaged windows in three carriages. No one was injured.

Passenger boarding for the return trip proceeded on schedule, and the train to Lviv departed without incident.

The damaged carriages are planned to be replaced.

Drone strikes on trains in Shostka

Russian forces have repeatedly targeted passenger trains and railway stations.

On September 4, Russian drones struck Shostka railway station and two passenger trains. The first hit the Tereshchynska-Novohrad-Siverskyi suburban train locomotive, while the second struck the Kyiv-Shostka electric train during passenger evacuation.

Dozens were injured, including Ukrzaliznytsia staff and passengers, among them three children.

The Shostka district prosecutor's office opened a war crime investigation. Investigators documented the attack's aftermath through on-site inspections and witness interviews, led by the Shostka district police with other law enforcement agencies.
