Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones late on Tuesday, February 10, triggering a large fire and a partial blackout in the city, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov.

According to him, the occupiers attacked the regional center with drones. Russia struck an infrastructure facility, triggering a large-scale fire.

"Due to the attack, more than 11,000 customers in two districts of the city are currently without electricity," Fedorov added.

Preliminarily, no casualties have been reported.

Fedorov reported that restoring heating may take a long time, especially in one district of the city. At the same time, he said electricity supply will be restored to all consumers, and specialists are already working on the ground.

In addition, authorities are setting up extra resilience points in the Komunarskyi district.

Zaporizhzhia and region strikes

Russian forces regularly attack the Zaporizhzhia region using drones, missiles, and guided aerial bombs.

Earlier on the same day, occupiers also struck Zaporizhzhia with drones, with the blast wave damaging a kindergarten building. Damage was also recorded in nearby apartment blocks.

On the night of February 10, Russian forces attacked the town of Vilniansk (Zaporizhzhia district). Several fires broke out at multiple addresses, with residential buildings burning and nearby structures damaged by the blast wave.

On the night of February 6, Russia carried out a combined strike on Ukraine. The Zaporizhzhia region was among the targets, leaving about 12,000 customers without electricity.
