Russia strikes Ukraine with North Korean ballistic missiles and 167 drones overnight

Last night, Russia struck Ukraine with Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, as well as more than 160 drones of various types, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russian air strikes began at 6 p.m. Kyiv time on September 4.
Russia struck Ukraine with:
- Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, launched from the Rostov and Voronezh regions of Russia
- 167 attack drones of various types (Shahed, Gerbera, and Parodiya decoy drones).
The drones were launched from several directions, including the areas of Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk, the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region, and Crimea.
Various units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were deployed to repel the Russian air attack:
- Air force
- Anti-aircraft missile forces
- Electronic warfare units
- Unmanned aerial vehicle units
- Mobile fire groups.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces had destroyed or neutralized 128 Russian drones.
At the same time, the first consequences of the Russian attack have been recorded:
- Missile and drone strikes hit 23 locations
- Debris from downed targets hit one location.
Some of the Russian munitions failed to reach their targets. Data on the consequences of the Russian attack continue to be refined.
As of this morning, the Russian airstrike is ongoing as drones are being detected in the Ukrainian sky.
