On the night of October 8, Russia attacked the Odesa region. The Russian invaders launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea and 19 attack drones from Prymorsko-Akhtarsk, according to the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all 19 Russian drones in the airspace over Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, and Ternopil regions.

In particular, 18 drones were shot down by Ukrainian aviation forces, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare systems.

1 drone returned to Russian territory without striking.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Over the past month, Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine with drones and missiles almost every night. On the night of October 7 alone, more than 80 aerial targets were launched.

On October 8, the Russian occupiers carried out another air attack, launching attack drones. Russian kamikaze drones penetrated Ukrainian airspace from the south. Due to the Russian attack, an air alert was declared in many regions.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Navy reports the presence of 16 Russian ships in the Black Sea on combat duty. Among them, 7 are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles.
