Russia strikes Ukraine with ballistic missile and 232 drones overnight

On the night of May 29, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missile and 232 drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down most of the enemy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Russians launched an Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missile from the Kursk region, as well as 232 Shahed-type strike drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia; Hvardiiske, Chauda – Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 217 Russian Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
A ballistic missile and 14 strike drones were recorded hitting 14 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 7 locations.
"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety guidelines!" Ukrainian Air Force warns.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
On the night of May 29, Russian troops deliberately attacked a ship traveling from one of the ports in the Odesa region to Türkiye. Crew members were injured as a result of the Russian strike.
The Russians also attacked Zaporizhzhia once again. Russian strike damaged buildings in the city, and two people are known to have been injured.
In addition, Russian troops attacked the village of Masheve in the Chernihiv region with drones last night. A school was destroyed by fire.
