"On the night of May 30, Russia attacked Ukraine with 90 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of dummy drones," the report said.

Russian troops launched the drones at Ukraine from Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk directions.

The Russians also launched 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region. The main targets of the air strike were the Kharkiv, Odesa, and Donetsk regions.

How many drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defense

The Russian air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and fire groups.

"As of 8 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces had destroyed 56 Russian Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) in the east, south, and north of Ukraine," the military says.

In particular, 26 of them were shot down by firepower, and 30 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare. Russian air strikes were recorded in 12 locations.
