Russia strikes Ukraine with 4 ballistic missiles and 140 drones overnight

On the night of August 18, Russia launched 4 ballistic missiles and about 140 drones at Ukraine. Ukrainian defense forces shot down and suppressed 88 Russian drones, but there were hits in 6 regions, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russia launched 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (from the areas of Taganrog, Millerovo, Kursk, as well as 140 Shaheds and various types of drone simulators from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, and Chauda of temporarily occupied Crimea.
Air force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the Russian attack.
According to preliminary data, as of this morning, 88 Russian drones were shot down and suppressed in various regions of Ukraine.
Consequences of Russian strike
However, Russian strikes were recorded at 25 locations. Russia attacked the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.
In Kharkiv, Russian drones hit a residential building in the Industrialnyi district. The strike caused a large-scale fire. According to preliminary data, at least five people were killed.
Meanwhile, in the Sumy region, the Russians attacked civilian infrastructure with 4 drones. The attack caused fires, but this time there were no casualties.
